Inform! Inspire! Improve reached new heights yesterday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as we took a small group of students from both our Steelton HIGHSPIRE and Bishop McDevitt True Colors program to experience THE University of Pennsylvania.
Penn is home to four undergraduate schools.
1. College of Arts and Sciences
2. School of Nursing
3. School of Engineering and Applications Sciences
4. The Wharton School
Regardless of school or major, all Penn undergraduates are able to investigate and understand the world through an arts and sciences foundation. Most students begin their education in one of the four schools.
This field trip was inspired by my high school friend and Harrisburg High School track and field teammate Rob Lewis.
Rob is a UPENN graduate that told me at the PENN RELAYS (my freshman year, his sophomore year) that he would be enrolling at UPENN and will graduate from his Ivy League school with rich tradition.
Rob inspired me to believe that it is possible for a student from an adverse environment to achieve greatness at this wonderful institution.
