True Colors,” a joint initiative by the educational and nonprofit sectors, has partnered with the Steelton-Highspire School District in Pennsylvania to help middle and high school educators inspire citizenship and service. The “True Colors” initiative strives to help educators foster a sense of belonging in their students by providing them an outlet to discuss pressing societal issues that they may not be able to talk about at home or on social media.
The program’s instructional staff aims to boost academic achievement through collaborative planning with instructors and counselors in order to mentor students in an education program that builds critical life skills and practical knowledge in the fields of art, education, athletic coaching, and entrepreneurship.
